About:How to Take Shanghai Metro

Is there a weighing machine for suitcases at stations to make sure it doesn't weigh more than 20kg? I don't understand why there should be a limit as airlines allow perhaps 23kg.

Yes, there is a machine to weigh passengers suitcase in order to limit it within 20kg. It is a regular in order to keep safe of your flight. May have slight difference between airlines. If it allows 20kg and yours are 23kg, may be okay without paying extra charge, for not over weight too much. Or you can just put something in your handbag into the airplane.
