About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi, I will be travelling to Shanghai Pudong terminal 1 from Singapore by China Eastern alirlines for connecting flight to Meixco by AeroMexico Airlines at terminal 2. The connecting flight is 4hrs later upon arrival in Pudong. I am holding Malaysia passport.

1. Can you advise the procedure for flight transit in Pudong across two different terminal?
2. Do I need to pass through the passport control/immigration clearance like other passengers in terminal 1? Is there a concourse path between terminal 1 and temrinal 2 without going through immigration?
3. Do I have to reclaim my baggage at arrival belt in terminal 1 and then proceed to terminal 2 departure hall to check-in again?

Your advice is much appreaciated.

If you have onward boarding pass, you just need to get of the plane, walk to T2 Terminal Building and check in at the counter of Mexico Airlines and then wait for your flight. If you don't have onward boarding pass, you need to finish the arrival procedure and claim your luggage, walk to T2 Terminal Building and then check your luggages and get your boarding pass, and then wait for your flight at the corresponding waiting hall.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your reply. I do not have the onward boarding pass. In this case, do I need a transit Visa to pass through the custom and immigration in T1?
