About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

My friend wants me to go with him to China next month for a tour for about 3 weeks. I am unemployed and don't have a bank account at the moment. My friend said he will pay for my air ticket return, accommodation, food, visa everything for the whole 3 weeks for both of us until we come back to South Africa. He lives and works in Botswana. Can I use emergency traveling documents if my passport is not ready yet for collection at Home Affairs? Is this possible? or do I need a bank balance of about R20000 or R30000?

No, sir, you need to wait until you get a passport, and the passport is required to be valid for at least 6 months. If you go to China for the first time, you are required to provide 3 months bank-statements and original air-flight tickets.
