About:Shanghai Maglev Train

I will be traveling to Shanghai in October for the Expo and need to go from Pudong to Somerset Xu Hui, Shanghai Hotel. The metro station closest to our hotel is station Jiashan Road on Line 9. Should we take the Maglev or Line 2 to connect to Line 9? Taking the Maglev is faster but I will need to change to Line 2 at Long Yang Road. Because I am traveling with a disabled senior who needs wheel chair, I'd like to minimize transfers. Is it easier to just use Line 2 from Pudong and how much longer is it to use Line 2 instead of the Maglev? Lastly, although we love to try out Shanghai's new Metro system, is it just simpler to take a taxi from Long Yang Road to the hotel and how much would that be?

The best way is to take Subway Line 2 to Century Avenue Station and then change to Subway Line 9. If you want to take taxi, I suggest you to take Subway Line 2 to Jing'an Temple Station(静安寺) and then take taxi to the hotel, it costs around CNY15 by taxi, if take taxi from Longyang Road Station, it would cost much.
