About:Beijing Capital Airport Express Train

Does the airport express train operate separately from the subway? Can I purchase a pass that is good on both the airport express train and the subway or does it have to be purchased separately??

Yes, there are separated operated. At Dongzhimen or Sanyuanqiao Station, you could exit the Airport Express Train station and then purchase a metro ticket to continue the journey.

Alternatively, you could purchase a Beijing Transportation Card once arrive at the airport. Both of the Airport Express and metro fare could be paid by this card.
