Dear Bradee,

From your explanation, I will need to enter Datong via Tianjin/Beijing and then
travel south to Xian.
From Xian, can I travel to Luoyang? Which of the following places is nearer from
Luoyang? Tianjin or Hangzhou? I need to plan for my flight exit. Can I
travel by train from Xian to Luoyang and then to either Tianjin or Hangzhou?
Are there night trains for these routes? By the way, which is a better place to visit,
Luoyang or MT Wudang?

Thank you for the advice.

Dear Tan, there are bullet trains between Xian and Luoyang which take only 2 hours each way. There are many shuttles every day. Tianjin is nearer from Luoyang than Hangzhou and time schedule of the train of Luoyang/Tianjin is better. You can take the overnight train K214 19:50/08:20+ from Luoyang to Tianjin and exit there. IMO, Luoyang is more worthwhile than Mt. Wudang. You can visit the Shaolin Temple and Longmen Grottoes, which are both the highlights of China. Should you need any other information, let me know.
