About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Hi there,

I'm Canadian. I've been working in Australia for the past 6 months. After this contact i hope to travel (tourist) through South east asia, then China.

My question is, can I apply for a tourist visa in Singapore. i was told it's best to apply in Canada. But seeing as I'm nowhere near there, I'd like to explore what my best option is.

I was also told you must provide round trip tickets and hotel. I don't want to invest in these things only to find out I can't get the visa. What's my best approach?

It will be single entry for about 3 weeks.

Thanks,

Eddie

Mr.Eddie, it's true that it is not wise for you to apply for China tourist visa in Singapore, Non-Singapore citizens shall provide documents that entitle them to reside for an extended period of time in the Singapore, such as a PR, WP, EP, STP, DP. Temporary visitors to Singapore should apply for a Chinese visa in their own country. For the special case, the visa officer has the rights to make the final decision on whether issuing a visa or not.

You can have a try to apply for China visa in other South East countries. For China visa application in Singapore, the hotel reservation and round-trip tickets are required.
