About:Shanghai Travel

I would be going from Beijing to Xian late september then would like to visit the following 4 cities Shanghai Suzhou Zhouzhuang and Hangzhou and then return to Beijing which is the best route using trains and buses to visit the 4 cities is it:
Shanghai - Suzhou - Zhouzhuang - Suzhou- Hangzhou - then back ot Beijing
OR
Suzhou - Hangzhou - Shangai - Zhouzuang - Shanghai - then back to Beijing
Or any other altered route that is more convenient regarding time and also i would not be buying the train tickets beforehand only on the day is that ok? Also how much time would you suggest to be given to the cities ? Thanks

I think the first route is better. You can buy train tickets on the day, but you may need to queue for long or you may not get a seat ticket. You'd better book train ticket in advance. You can spend two or three days in Shanghai, one or two days in Suzhou, one day in Zhouzhuang and two days in Hangzhou.
