About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I'm a US citizen. I have this trip in October with Japan Airlines:
- Saigon-Tokyo(connection)-Shanghai arriving PVG at 12pm on Oct 14
- Shanghai-Tokyo leaving PVG at 11:50am on Oct 16
Since I'll be in Shanghai for less than 48 hours, do I need a visa to leave the airport to go to the World Expo?
Thank you!

Hi Tony,

Yes you will have to have a Visa for China if you leave the airport. Also if you want to go to the World Expo you would need at least 2 whole days(to just see part of it). It's really big and there are millions of people there..so there is alot of waiting in lines! good luck.
