About:China Embassy in Thailand

I live in China and my mother is visiting me from Canada. She has a single entry 180 day L visa.

We would like to go on holiday to Phuket in 1 week and stay for 10 days. However, my mother will need to get a new visa as her current visa is only single entry.

Could we get a new visa for my mother while in Phuket within 6 working days? If so, how much would it cost / what documentation would we need.

Thank you

You cannot be certain that you can obtain a visa in Thailand as China will not issue visas to foreigners in some countries. I THINK you are Ok in Thailand but I am not sure.....you definitely need to contact the Chinese consulate in Thailand in advance. It is also possible that you can get a dual or multi entry visa inside China, but again there is no guarantee and it might only allow 1 month on each entry. You could also forget the currt visa and apply for a new one before you leave: a dual or multiple entry one. You will need to pay the full fee again and you might only get 1 month per entry (I used to get 3 months on a multi entry, now only 2 and some people only 1 month !!!) Skip Thailand??????
