About:How to Take

I am going to take the following night-trains:
On Aug. 23, Train D308 -Hard Seat (Shanghai to Beijing)
On Aug. 27, Train D305 - Second Class Seat (Beijing to Shanghai)(booked from travelchinaguide.com)

My question is, where can I put my luggage? I have not decided yet on how much should I take with me or which luggage bag to use, but I will be staying in China for 1 week. Do trains with budget-seats (hard seat/second class seat) have spaces for luggage? Do I have to check-in my things, just like when riding a plane? If yes, is there an additional charge for that? Thanks a lot!

Yes, usually there are luggage racks on trains. If you have some luggage that does not need to take on the train, you could store it at one hotel in Shanghai and fetch it when you are back to Shanghai. For the luggage regulations on train,
