About:Huangshan Mountain

Hello,

Is there a hike near Huangshan that would not be crowded between Oct 11 and Oct 22? I would like to see the beautiful scenery but I don't like large crowds.

I am also interested in visiting Huangshan soon, because that is my hometown though I have never been to the mountain. Well, hiking around this area is hard for me. I found this page and it may helpful to you.

Heather we were just there last month and it is beautiful but as soon as the tour buses arrive hundreds of people will be running around the mountain untill late afternoon. then as the tour groups head back to the base of the mountain only the people spending the night will be left on the mountain. We were there three days and during one of the days it was pouring down rain so no one even rented the tents that evening. We stayed at the Beihai it's not the newest and the beds are rock hard. But it is right in the middle of the best views. There are no roads once you get off the cable car at the top and it seems the stairs are never ending. The first day we went to where everyone said it is a must see and watch the sunrise at the Dawn Pavillion there were hundreds of people and every pushing to get a view of the sunrise. The 2nd day I headed out to a spot no more than 200 steps from the front door of the hotel and my wife and I had the whole lookout to ourselves as the sun rose that morning
