Hi, will be visiting Hongkong in December 2010 and will stay at the Panda Hoteland planning to take the Airport Express to our hotel, at what station shall wealight and how much will it cost us ( we will be five in our group) is it practical to buy the octopus card or if take thetaxi cab how much will it cost us. Also planning to go to Shenzhen on our own what MTR, what MTR shall we take and any idea how much is the visa to Shenzhen.Many thanks.

You can take the airport express and alight at Tsing Yi. Then take bus 243P at CHING TAO HOUSE CHEUNG CHING EST and get off at FU WAH STREET TSUEN WAN. Walk to your hotel. It totally takes about HK$65.  You cam buy the Octopus card travelling in Hong Kong. It is convenient.You can take the East Light Rail to Luohu port and then take bus to Shenzhen downtown area. It is about HK$150 to get the visa to Shenzhen. One thing to mention, if it is your first time to China, you can not get visa from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. You need to apply it in advance in your country.
