About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

HI i am an Australian citizen, I am coming to china to start a job on the 29 August to the 29 December. I may also want to continue working in Shanghai in Feb, 2011, however as of yet this is not arranged.

I have a letter of invitation from the School i will be working at in Guangzhou, my bachelor degree, TEFL certificate. I also have my passport and photos (and can fill out the form). As an Australian applying in Singapore what other documents will I need for the Visa? Am I able to get a working visa in Singapore or not?

Thank you !!

Ms.kaitlyn, Non-Singapore citizens shall provide documents that entitle them to reside for an extended period of time in the Singapore, such as a PR, WP, EP, STP, DP. Temporary visitors to Singapore should apply for a Chinese visa in their own country. For the special case, the visa officer has the rights to make the final decision on whether issuing a visa or not.

SO in my case does this entitle me to the business visa in Singapore? What do those letters stand for?
For a year business visa is it possible for non Singapore citizens to get in Singapore?

A good rule of thumb is to apply in Australia. I think, a tourist visa is Ok for you to work for a month there. If you want to continue your work in China, you can change your L visa to Z visa during your stay in China. But personally, it is impossible to get a one year business visa in Singapore.
