About:Yunnan Travel

I'm planning a trip through Yunnan from Vietnam and exiting from Tibet into India. How hard is independant travel in Yunnan. Last time I was there was in 2007 with a large school group and everything was pre-planned for us. I loved my time there and can't wait to get back, but I know very little about local bus routes and the like.

Where do you want to visit travelling in Yunnan?
You should consider more about the transportation travelling in Yunnan, especially the out-of-the-way area, such as Xishuangbanna. It is a little difficult for independent to go from the downtowm City to some suburb places by train. You'd better book train tickets in advance to those places.

In addition, only in a tour group with Tibet entrance permit, can you travel in Tibet.
