About:Visa Policy of China

Hi Sir,

I am applying for a Z visa and my employer is applying me for a visa notification in China to be used when I transact the visa processing here in Philippines. And yesterday they advised me that office in China refused to give a visa notification because of the 2010 Asian games and they are refusing foreigners to come. Is this relevant to the application of Visa?
I am not a new comer in China I have been issued with temporary residense visa 3 times since 2007.
Now I am still holding 1 entry from my double entry visit visa. would it be possible that I use my remaining visit visa, extend it when I enter China and process my temporary residence?

Can you advise me which process can be better for me, than to wait until november as advised. I'll be working in Dongguan,Guangdong,China for a new employer.

Mr.Leo, the Asian games is held in Guangzhou, you will work in Dongguan, Guangdong, so it is hard for you employer to get a visa notification letter for you.

You can use the left entry on your visa to enter China, then apply for extension after you enter China, it is also hard for you to get the temporary residence if you haven't the work visa.
