first i warmly welcome to xinjiang ,
that is good idea come to xinjiang but that is not so good idea don,t come to kashgar. in Urimqi city nothing to see, Urimqi same with other city of china . but around Urimqi good place to see like lake and mountain . but in kashgar and Hotan you can see old town which many years old , sunset/sunrise in desert which second big desert in world , lake which is Karakul lake and Muztag Ata, , think about it keep in touch ,, have a good trip in xinjiang

good idea come to xinjiang .
i think 6 days not enough for all xinjiang if you have time stay longer then 6day. few of my friend give you good advice . Urimqi modren city like other city of china ,,,Kashgar, Hotan ,Yarkand, will be nice to see. don,t worry about tour guide in xinjiang / mid september not high season of toursim so you can find 200/400 very good guide from uyghur in xinjiang you must take local tour guide .... more info , keep in touch

first i will wish you and husband have ni ce holiday. price of the tour guid it depend of how good he or she, it can be around 150 to 300 per day. for 5 to 6 days tour it depend of where you go and what kind of hotel you want.
