About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

Hi there, I'm just wondering can you get a tourist visa on arrival in the airport in Hong Kong? I will only be staying there for 7 days. I will be fying in from Koh Samui and then flying home to Ireland from HK. Thanks :)

Ms.Jennie, You don't need a visa to Hong Kong because Ireland passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days.

Mr.forde, yes, you need to apply for China Transit Visa (G)because you have two stops in China (Guangzhou and Harbin). In fact, if your first stop in Shanghai or Beijing, the second stop is Harbin, you don't need to apply for China VISA in advance, you can apply for stay permit in Shanghai or Beijing airport, Guangzhou airport can't issue the stay permit for you.
