Take bus 916 at Dongzhimen to Huairou Bus Station. Then take taxi to Mutianyu, 40RMB.

You can take bus No.936 tourism line outside Dongzhimen (600 meters north of the Xiejie Street). The bus leaves every hour, from 0700 to 1500 and the duration time is about 2 hours. Please note that the bus first goes to Hongluo Temple and stays for about one hour, then it keeps going to the Mutianyu at 0900. Also, around November every year, the bus route is adjusted to the winter one. From then on, the bus stops at Hongluo Temple and doesn’t continue going to the Wall.
