I'm leading a group to tour Fujian and Guangdong provinces and doing either circuit (a) Xiamen, Yongding, Meizhou, Shantou, Chaozhou, Huizhou, Guangzhou or (b) Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Dongshan, Chaozhou, Shantou, Guangzhou.   Could you tell me please the distance and travel times between cities to help me choose best route due to time constraints?Thanks.

Of course, the second route is of shorter distance. And the distances between the cities in the route (b) are not very far, you can take coaches. From Shantou to Guangzhou, you can take a train.
