About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

I live in ohio and ohio belongs to jurisdiction of new york consulate. It is much easy for me to go chicago than new york.
can i go to chicago consulate and submit my application ?

Your visa application maybe denied by China Consulate-General in Chicago, you'd better go to New York to apply for China visa.
