About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

Good morning,
I understand that South Africans are exempt from requiring a visa, so long as their visit is less than 30 days. However, although we will be in Hong Kong for 12 days max, then leaving for Taipei for another two weeks, returning to Hong Kong for another 2 weeks, does this exemption apply for multiple entries?
