About:Directions for Use of Shanghai Public Transportation Card

"If you want to return a card having a balance of CNY 2,000 or above, you need to bring the invoice and your identification card to the designated card-returning agencies. The balance can be returned with a 5% handling fee charged within three workdays." said in this website.

However, if my transportation card's balance is in the range of CNY 20 to CNY 1,999 then where and how long does it take to get a refund? Will there be any administrative charge deducted from my transportation card's balance?

By the way, besides paying for transportations, can I use my transportation card for other purpose i.e. buy drinks in convenient stores such as 7-eleven?

If the balance on your card is between CNY 10 and 2,000, invoice should be taken to ask for the return of money; however, a 5% handling fee will be charged. You can have a refound in the angency mentioned above in this website just as the refound of a lalance of CNY 2,000 or above.
