About:China Embassy in Thailand

I am a U.S. citizen living in South Korea. I cannot get a Chinese visa from Korea due to a new rule about having an alien card that's valid for 6 months. I will be on vacation in Thailand the first week of August. Is it possible to get a Chinese visa in Thailand while on vacation?

Thanks!

I hear that the China visa regulations in Asian countries around China tighten since Jule 1, 2010. I guess that you can't get a China visa in Thailand, either.
