dear siriam an Egyptian PhD student studying in the Kazakh national technical university named after K.I. Satpayev Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, since 2008 i have an invitation from a company (Xinjiang SunOasis Co., Ltd.) in Urumqi, Xinjiang,China for two months starting from 15/7 to 15/9/2010  and my supervisor also who is Kazakh  and works in the  Kazakh national technical university named after K.I. Satpayev  Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan  has the same invitation but for 10 days starting my from 15/7/2010my inquiries are 1) what is the required documents (in details)2) fee of the visa for me and my supervisor3) how long  it will take in formulating visa4) is their any  consulate in Almaty if so give me address5) if there is an application where can  i get by internet6) the invitation has to be original or can u accept electronic version( as u know there is no enough time

So,you are not qualified to apply for an X visa to China, it is granted to those who study in China for more than 6 month. You may follow your supervisor to apply an F visa intead. The requirements are: 1) Valid passport(six months or above validity) with at least one blank page for visa; 2) Neatly completed application form with one recent photo on it; 3) For first-time-application of Chinese visa, return tickets or other documents related to the application should be presented upon the request of the consular officer;4) The invitation Letter is required(Original one).The fee for a single-entry visa is LE 150.Chinese Embassy is in Cairo and the only Consulate is in Alexandria. No online service is available, you can either go to the Embassy in person or entrust others to do it for you.
