About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Hi I am planning my backpack trip to tibet for about 15 days. what type of visa i should apply for? and is there any special visa required for visiting tibet? thanks.

Yes, you need to apply for a 'Tibet Entry Permit' through Travel Bureau of Tibet, which sets branches in many provinces. besides, you cannot travel individually, you have to join a group tour of authourized travel agencies. They can help you with all the needed documents.
