I'm planning to visit shanghai on 1st Sep. till 4th Sep leaving from Wenzhou. I would like to take a train from Wenzhou to shanghai, and I would also like to take a train back to Wenzhou to take the flight from Wenzhou back to Thailand in the morning of Sep 5th. Could you help me answer these following questions?1> Should I book the train tickets in advance through the internet, book them through a travel agency in my country ,or buy them directly at the station? and how about the subway ticket in shanghai?2> I will be attending an elective program in Wenzhou medical college for 4 weeks before going to shanghai, where should I take the train to take me to shanghai? (Wenzhou railway station to shanghai south railway station? or other routes)please help me figure these out. Thank you

Since you will stay around 4 weeks in Wenzhou, you could buy the train tickets directly at the train station there. From Wenzhou to Shanghai, many D trains are available, which departs from Wenzhou South Train Station and reaching Shanghai South Railway Station.About the subway ticket in Shanghai, you could buy it at the metro station where you can consult the staff or buy it through the Automatic Ticket Issuing Machine. And the ticket fare ranges from CNY3.00 to CNY9.00 one way.

You can buy the tickets at Shanghai south railway station when you arrive in Shanghai on Sep.1. Besides, almost all D trains from Shanghai to Wenzhou arrive at Wenzhou after 12:00 am. Thus, it is better for you to take a D train back to Wenzhou on Sep.4 and stay one night there. The next morning, you could take the flight to Thailand.
