About:Shanxi Travel

I have seen photographs of a "city" built on the side of a cliff like mountain. Many buildings, temples, a road to it, amazing trails, etc. What is this place called? All I know is that it is in Shanxi

Hello，I'm not sure which city you are refering to, do you have any detailed information like its location or something like that?
Among the cities, I think Da Tong is a little near your description, you can look at this page:

Hello. I think you may be referring to the "Hanging Monastery" on Mount Hengshan in the Northern Shanxi province, south of Datong There are 40 wooden halls and structures linked by an ingenious system of pillars and posts and walkways.
check out Mount Hengshan on Google.

Hello,

I think this might be the place you are talking about. I saw the pictures and spent quite a while looking for the place, to the point that I started to believe that it was photoshopped!!
