About:Urumqi Travel

hello,
i would like to know if it's possible for a foreigner to go to xingjian by other means than the plane, and how much time does it take, for instance by bus or by train?
will it be interesting or are there risks to go through?

from guangzhou it take about 45 hour by train,no bus.
from beijing it take about 46 hour by train ,no bus
