About:Shanghai Metro Line 2

Hi, I am a bit worried because I have to go from SuZhou to Pudong Airport on July 4, 2010, and fly out at 11:30am, it is my first time doing this alone, actually first time going to ShangHai! I speak zero Chinese.I thought of going by train, but I think the earliest train is around 6:20am or so, arriving at Shanghai at 7am. It seems Line 2 directly to Pudong Airport is already functioning, but I do not know how long it will take from the railway station, on line 1 transferring at the People's square station and then on all the way in line 2. I do not know it I will actually have ENOUGH time to arrive to the airport. Is this a good plan? Or should I consider another course of action?

Suggest you go to take airport bus Line 5 when you arrive Shanghai Railway Station. The bus is available opposite the southwest and southeast exit, in front of 友谊服装商场. It is not convenient to take subway. You should make transfer to Line 2 from Line 1 at People's Square. Line 2 will stop at Guanglan Road and then you have to change to another carriage to go on. The problem is Guanglan Road to Pudong AIrport part is availabl till 9am. So, you have to alight at Longyang Road by Line 2 and change to Maglev trian again.
Another option is Suzhou has direst shuttle bus to Pudong Airport. Take taxi and show the driver you are going to 干将西路115号, 东航营业处(TicketOffice of China Eastern Airlines in 115 Ganjiang West Road). Buy bus ticket here and waiting for the bus. Take bus at 6:20;6:50 or 7:20. You are arriving Pudong Airport 2.5 hours later.
