Dear Beijing Zoo,

I have not been to China, but I know and admire some of your people.

I recently learned that the zoo is serving some of its animals as food in its restaurant.
This is very disturbing to me, as I thought that the purpose of a zoo was to create compassion for and interest in animals. I beg you to please stop this distressing practice.
