About:Huangshan Travel

We plan to visit Huangshan from Shanghai in Sep. We don't want to fly because of the late hour and the cost, and we don't want to take the train because it takes too long. We are thinking of
1. take the bus from Shanghai to Tunxi. how long it takes and how much? where can we find the time table?
2. take the train from Shanghai to Hangzhou and then ride the bus to Tunxi. how long it takes for each segment and how much? where can we find the time table?
Thank you for your help.

It takes some 5 hours from Shanghai to Tunxi and another one hour from Tunxi to Huangshan Scneic Area (Tangkou). The bus ticket from Shanghai to Huangshan is about 140RMB. See my reply to Mr. Sweta to look for the timetable.
It takes 1.5 hours from Shanghai to Hangzhou by bullet train. There are direct shuttle bus from Hangzhou Railway Station to Hangzhou West Bus Station without stop on the way. It takes half a hour (one hour if by city bus 49). Then it takes 4 hours or so from Hangzhou to Huangshan. Cost: 58/65RMB for bullet train, 100RMB foe bus from Hangzhou west to Huangshan
Time of departure from Hangzhou to Huangshan at:8:00, 9:50,10:50, 12:40, 14:10, 15:10. This is the timetable from the official website of Hangzhou Long-distance Transport Group.
Hope it is helpful for you to make decisions.
