About:Window of the World, Shenzhen

Hi,

I'm going to Hong Kong with my sister on August 16-20.

We have quite a similar itinerary as Ms. Mona's (Disneyland, Macau, Shenzhen) although all our nights will be spent in Hong Kong.

1. Can Philippine citizens get a Shenzhen visa at the Lo Wu border? How long does it take to get the visa and how much is it? Do you have contact numbers of the visa office?

2. How far apart are WOW and Splendid China? We plan to visit both sites between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, because we will be spending the evening at The Victoria Peak. Is this doable?

Thanks in advance!

~ Angela

1. I suggest you apply your visa in your own country before you go out. From what I have heard, the policy has been tightened and I don’t know why. In order to have a nice trip, better get your visa first.

2. WOW is not far away from Splendid China. You can take N5, 32 and 101 bus. If you spend 6 hours in both two places, I think that you won’t have much fun there. And If you are unlucky, you will meet many people at Lo Wu Border. So you may spend long time to pass the border. Then you will spend more than one hour from Lo Wu to Central. It is really hurry.

Thank you, Ms. Jane!

But if we apply visa here, it's more expensive since it's really the Chinese visa (not just the Shenzhen visa) and I really don't have plans to go to China during this 4-day trip. What do you think is the probability of being able to secure a Shenzhen visa at the Lo Wu border?
