About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Hi,

My husband and I are traveling to China and Mongolia. My husband can only have a 2 week vacation, so he will be heading back earlier than me. He will be in China for 3 days (sightseeing), then go to Mongolia (Outer). He will stay in Mongolia 10 days, then return to China, stay the night and fly out the next morning. He must enter China again because international flights do not leave from Mongolia and he cannot stay in the airport because there are no flights that fly out same day from Mongolia to USA. Do I need to explain the whole visit to Mongolia and time frames in the visa application? Does it matter even, since they don't mention anything about it on their consulate website under visas? What should I mark on the "Duration of Stay". We have a month until our trip and I don't want anything to go wrong.

Thank you,
Mrs Burged

yes, you can write the travel itineray on the visa application, your husband and you can ask for double-entry visa valid for 6 months, according to your statement, your husband need a double-entry visa because he enters China twice. You can write 5 days for Your Longest Intended Stay in China, you can also specify that your visit is 3 days in Mainland China, 10 days in Mongolia, then 2 days stay in Mainland China.

Please don't worry, it is easy for USA nationals to get a China visa.
