About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

I am an Italian citizen by birth and I am also US citizen through naturalization. I live in Seattle, and I wonder whether I could go to Vancouver to apply for my visa to China. Also, would I need to apply using my US passport or could also apply using my Italian passport? (Apparently fees are much lower for Italian citizens).

Generally speaking, it is easy for USA passport holders to get a China in a third country, you can also use your Italy passport to apply. Maybe the visa officer of the China Consulate in Vancouver will ask you to provide the valid visa or residence permit (except for those who are visa or permit exempt for residing or working in Canada)
