Which category of China visa do you want to apply for? Business Visa or Tourist Visa? if you don't have business partner in China which can provide the invitation letter from the legally registered company in China for you and the visa notification letter from the an economic and trade bureau or a foreign affairs office, you can't apply for Business Visa.
