About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I am fourteen, and I wanted to visit China alone for a month this summer. Is there an age limit to live with a Chinese family, most likely Beijing? And what would I need to get there; passports or something...? I've never been out of the country before so I don't know what I would need to do. Oh, I also speak some Chinese because I took it as a language class this year. Just thought I'd say that if they don't speak English there as much.
Thanks.

There is no limit to live in a Chinese family. You need to prepare the following documents for tourist visa application:
1.A valid passport as well as a copy of its information page: Your valid passport must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity and at least one blank visa page in it.
2.Application form: One completed Visa Application Form. It should be signed by your guardian, such as your mother or father.
3.Photo: one recent photo of 2x2 square inch (black & white or color is acceptable) glued or stapled on the application form.
4. round-trip flight tickets.
