About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

Hello, we are 2 Italian citizen in Hanoi and we like to take the China's visas here, at the travel agencies said that the price now is twice than one week ago, so it's about 75 dollars, is it true? Is it better to go to ambassy or use a travel agencies? We don't have any flights ticket because we will do the trip by land, bus and trains. Is it a problem? Is possible to go to Hong Kong with a single entry visa for one mounth and there get an extension for come back in China for another month? Or do we have to take a double visa for 2 months? Thank you very much.

First, I want to say that Italy passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days, so a visa is not required for you to go to Hong Kong. You just need a visa to Mainland China, I think that a single entry visa is enough if you follow such an itinerary Hanoi-Mainland China-Hong Kong. You will need double-entry or multiple-entry visa if you travel between Hong Kong and mainland China for more than 1 time.

You can apply for visa directly through the Chinese embassy in Hanoi, it is cheap, you don't need to pay the service fee of the travel agency, the return flight tickets maybe are required, the ticket to Italy or the next destination.
