About:China Work Visa

Hey Guys. I live in China on a L visa. now I am in the process of getting a Z visa. but my firend tells me I have to go back to the US embassy at home to apply it. is that correct?

Mr.julian, it is up to your employer, if your employer is famous and large, he has a good relation with the local Public Security Bureau, then he can help you to get a Z visa within Mainland China, otherwise, you have to return to USA to get a work visa.
