About:Getting to Changsha

Hi,

I am departing from Changsha, and I wish to travel to Hong Kong. What is the best method of transportation - bus, train or boat? Also, what is the time I can be expect to be traveling between the two cities? I understand there is currently no direct train, but what what are the connecting cities and bus routes to travel from Changsha to Hong Kong.

No direct bus, train or boat from Changsha to Hong Kong, except for airplane. If you want to take train, you can get to Shenzhen first. Walk from Shenzhen (Luohu) Railway Station to Luohu checkpoint to pass the border. Then take East Rail MTR to Hung Homg, Kowloon.

A faster route is to take the high speed train from Changsha south railway station to Guangzhou (about 2 hours) and then a bus, limousine, ferry or taxi to Hong Kong.
