About:China Great Wall

Can anyone tell me which part of the Great wall is safter as we have kids together?

Hi,everybody
I am right now in Beijing and planning to visit the Great Wall. I have got Badaling, Juyongguan and Mutianyu in mind. Can anyone tell me which one is safter as we have kids together, which one is easier to reach and which one is more beautiful in middle May? Thanks a lot!

I went to Badaling and Mutianyu the other day and here is my advice:
1.Badaling is safter than Mutianyu. Badaling has been renovated and taken on a new look. It is smaller and less steeper. Mutianyu has more beautiful scenery but the climbing is too tough for kids and exhausting for adults. Anyway you can take cable car to the top at both of the places if you prefer.
2.Transport to Badaling: Intercity train between Beijing North Railway Station and Badaling is available now. The trip takes about 1 hour and no much walk after you alight the train.
Transport to Mutianyu: Take bus no. 936 at Dongzhimen bus station. It leaves at 07:00, 08:00 and 09:00 each morning and returns at 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 with a duration of 2.5 to 3 hours.
