About:Hong Kong Visa Application

Hi~ I am a Singaporean Chinese who wants to find a job in Hong Kong. I have checked up the relevant information and found out that I need to get a work Visa, which can only be sponsored by a company willing to employ me. However some companies said that they will only hire foreigners ONLY IF they have work Visa. Is there any way to go about getting a Visa first before finding employment?

As i know, it is impossible for get an employment visa before finding a job. I guess that some companies are not entitled to employ foreigners.
