About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

good day sir, i would like to ask, bec i've a job oreedr as a teacher in China,so my agency will be processing my visa, but my passport has only one year validity, i'm expected to be in China by June, but my appointment in the Department of Foreign affairs for passport renewal is on May 31, i would like to ask if my passport can still be given a visa,even if it's valid for one year only, thank you somuch!

Mr.francis, if you want to get a work visa to China, your passport should have at least 15 months validity because work visa holders should go through the procedures for obtaining the Residence Permit for aliens in local public security bureau within 30 days of entry, to avoid illegal stay. The Residence Permit is generally valid for 1 year.
