A thin long-sleeved sweater windproof jacket should be prepared. Recently, affected by the cold air, Beijing is somewhat cold but much better than in winter. The temperature is around 15C during daytime.

According to CCTV news, spring comes late this year. Delay from 15th March to 4th April. We were in Beijing on 8th April and the temperature is ok, 23 degree celsius in the day time and night time 10 degree. From 9th April onwards the temperature dipped to not more than 15 degree celsius(daytime) and below 5 degree celsius(night time). Because of the strong wind, it is freezing cold. We are suppose to visit Badaling on 10th April but decide to cancel the minibus we have book the previous day because we hear from those who have come back from their visit to the Great Wall that it snow in Badaling. Hoping for better weather that never came. Come what may, we decide to visit Badaling on our own on the 12th April. From Sunworld Hotel we took two taxis to Deshengmen Gate(25RMB/cab and than transfer to Bus 919(12RMB/pax) to Badaling. From hotel to Badaling the whole journey is lest than one hour forty-five minutes. From the bus stop to the ticket office./entrance is about is about 10 minutes walk. We can see fresh snow from tower one to tower eighth. It was very slippery and somewhat dangerous because all the way up to the eighth tower the floor of wall is cover with harden snow that have yet to melt. Yours truly slpped a few occasions. Everybody trying to balance themselves and was fighting for the tiny space to put their foot down. Many local tourists surrender after the second tower and fourth tower, they shold have continue to the fourth tower and than take the pulley down but instead try to climb down creating a human traffic congestion. I saw man slipped and injured himself. It was a very very cold and windy day. We manage to reach the eighth tower but cannot go further because the authority have seal up the eighth tower so we took the cable down which is next to the bus 919 station.
