Hi I am doing a report on soldiers on the great wall of china, did the soldiers have social mobility, meaning could they change there class if they wanted to or no? Also how big were the barracks that the soldiers lived in? If someone could answer me asap that would be great!

Hi, usually the soldiers can not change their class upon their will. This is decided according to their contribution. Very strict military regulation behind. The barracks the soldiers lived in usually can accommodate 20 to 30 soldiers. The living condition of soldiers in camps is not good.
