Ximenkou station is the nearest subway station to Guangxiao Temple and you can just walk into Guangxiao Road to find the temple after getting out of the subway station.
Aimilarly, get out from Exit A of Changshoulu Station and walk down along Baohua Lu for 15 minutes. Turn left when you get to Dishifu Road. Then that is the east end of Shanghaixiajiu.

Ms Poo, I took my parents aged 70s to Guangzhou to visit "homeland" in March 2010. I made an earlier trip to Guangzhou to recce the place, and find that the subway is no place for people their age. You literally rub shoulders with people and it's a sea of people.
So,what i did was, to charter a mini-van of 5-7 seater (depending on size of people) for 3 days, and my parents were completely happy as they have a private taxi at their beck and call.
You need to understand that they cannot walk as much as younger people like us can.

Thank you very much David.

I came back already, and just open email.

It's as you said they could not tolerate with a sea of people, they're very tired.
