The most economical way is take the bus from Hangzhou to Wuzhen. Mr Rain has given his answer: go to Hangzhou East Bus Station to take bus to Wuzhen. It costs around CNY 25 and just takes 1.5 to 2 hours. If you really want to have a thorough experience of Wuzhen Water Town, I suggest you saty there for a night. The night view is awesome.

Joining a trip arranged by travel agency is convenient and saves your energy. But you may not have much fun there.

Wuzhen is a Watertown as well as a scenic area. Thus, it does sell entrance tickets. As you can see, it is divided into two scenic areas: Dongzha and Xizha. Dongzha Scenic Area closes at around 17:30. Xizha Scenic Area offers fantastic night view. So you may buy a combo ticket of two scenic areas to enjoy Xizha night view and then visit Dongzha next day.

Then you must rearrange your time schedule to visit Wuzhen. Something special? What do you mean? As I said before, you may join a trip arranged by a travel agency. Then you wouldn’t be bothered by the transportation, accommodation and other problems. However, you may not have much fun there.
