Hello, I'll arrive in Beijing (PEK) from Jakarta (CGK) via Xiamen (XMN) on June 2, 2010 at 11.05 AM, for stopover/layover and will be leaving also by Air China to Los Angeles (LAX) on the same day at 09.00 PM. This is an Air China connecting international flight. My return flight on July 8, 2010 reverse route LAX-PEK-XMN-CGK. Do I have to claim and recheck my luggage onj both routes, or the Air China does that automatically? I need specific confirmation although I've read the similar case you've answered to other guests. Air China has through check-in service for connecting flights and I am sure you do not need to recheck the lugguage from XMN-PEK-LAX, I think it includes the part from Jakarta to Xiamen. If you are still not sure, why not call Air China or visit its office in Jakarta.
