I have a couple of questions:- Do the 18 and 42 Tourist Smart Card rides work no matter what the normal fare of the bus is? - Provided that there are quite a lot of rides, why should Regular Smart Card be more convenient if you still have to pay for a percentage of each ride? Only because of the subway option and '9' lines? What if you plan to move around only by bus? Is Regular Smart Card still more convenient than using Tourist Smart Card and paying the normal rate for '9' buses?Thank you in advance!

Anyway, my suggestions is purchasing a regular smart card, not the one for tourists specially. A regular one could be used on any bus and metro line, could meet your need at any time. By taking metro, it will charge you CNY2 per time, and by taking city bus (including '9' line), it would only charge you 40% of the ticket fare.
