About:Ancient Chinese Marriage Custom

Singapore: My nephew who is a working engineer (age 34) is getting married to a local girl (working) (age 29) who dated him for 7 years. Her parents demand bridal price, bringing-her-up price, 8 tables at the wedding banquet, 4 kinds of gold ornaments, etc... Traditionally, can his mother be the "matchmaker" to deliver the demand?

Yes, she can. These days, the mother-in-law can directly ask for it.
